The Debate for Peace program is a unique conflict resolution program open to 8th-12th grade students all over Israel, from all backgrounds. We currently have students from more than 25 cities and schools participating in our programs. Debate for Peace is part of the Interfaith Encounters Association, and operated in partnership with the Jerusalem Peacebuilders and the US Embassy in Israel.

All organizational and preparation costs are free for participants. We are staffed on a fully volunteer basis. Donations and a grant from the US Embassy have helped to keep transportation subsidized, and ensure that the program is open to students from all socio-economic backgrounds. We need your help to enable us to keep the program going.

To help us keep that commitment, please consider making a donation. Visit the Friends of IEA donations page, choose “Donate via Paypal,” and enter a donation of any amount for the “Debate for Peace” program. You can also follow the directions there to make a tax-deductible donation via check instead. Because we are volunteer-run, your donations go directly to transportation costs to bring together students from different communities (and food costs to make sure that their bodies are nourished as well as their minds!)
